Future/planet of the apes theory

What if the survivors on Lost crashed the plane in the future. They're really in LA or antartica or the moon or something, but the word has been destroyed destroyed/remade by Nukes or something like that.

The Others are like the apes in planet of the apes - they are the survivors of the nukes. The Lost survivors of the plane crash the ship crash survivors on planet of the apes.

I read a while back that one of the producers said "we never said they crashed in 2005."

Now, it could be year 43,023 for all we know... Just thought it was a interesting (and yes, lame) theory.

I think this is much more likely than many of the wild or dumb theories out there about Lost and the fate of the lost survivors.

I doubt it's as close to the Planet of the Apes as you think, but it's an interesting theory, and at the least, it's workable. Not probably, but then again, nothing on the Lost tv show is.

I like it.

It's an okay, average theory. I like it, but I think the Lost creator(s) have much bigger plans than something that simple. I think it becomes much more complex and involves science-fiction and a twist of history.

Very true probably. Everything else in Lost is so complex that the main plot has to be as well.

It's not exactly a weak theory... I like it, actually. Interesting, but not too far-fectched.

I never heard that, but I'll take your word for it. Then again, the Lost producers could just be saying that to through us off.

That would make the storyline of lost a bit more science fictional than I'd like, but I like that idea.

Desmond showed them the date when the system failure occurred september 22,2004. He claims he caused the crash so there.

you all seem to have considered that the plane crashed in the future, but what if it crashed in the past? i mean that would explain the 1970's computer, its obvious that people can get to the island (the food drop etc) so why wouldnt the computer have been updated if it was in the futre, maybe theyve gone back in time to 30 years ago when dharma was just getting started

nice theory, however both the survivors of the plane crash and the "others" have flashbacks in the present time. ive learnt never to take anything the lost producers create as logical though so your idea could be the one!

intersting theory, i'm not sure i'm inclined to believe it, but it's possible.

As pointed out, they probably said it didn't crash in 2005, because it was 2004. If it crashed in 2005, now THAT would have been the future
