Some thoughts

Alright this is my theroy and it seems to be either the producers are being to obvious or they want to fool us into believeing that the entire island is in other words a ghost island that no one is alive, which would make since cause Naomi the girl they pulled from the helicopter said that they found the bodies of the wreckage and all were accountable, and then Sawyer and lockes dad saying he hit a meridian at 70mph and then woke up in the "magic" room.
So lets say that the island is limbo for spirits before they go to heaven or hell and the Black swarm is some sort of creature that takes spirits to either place or consumes their soul, and the Dharma initiative is an old experiment that killed everyone on the island aka the "others" I find it very strange that this island is so much like the bermuda triangle that nothing can get in without its gages messing up and crashing,,,
one final thought what if this island is Atlantis, cause if you remember the statue at the end of episode two which was just feet looked almost Greek, and Desmond who keeps repeating his time on the island is obviously trying to buy his way into heaven by saving the guys life almost like a curse.

I thought about the atlantis theory a long time ago, when the black rock was found in the middle of the island... it could b an island that once sank and rose again. which would explain why no-one seems to be able to find it when looking 4 it...the problem with the foot statue is by my reckoning it could be ancient greek, roman or egyptian.. the foot appears to av a sandle on it, but footwear was quite similar between these 3, especially greek and roman because, with the roman empire they used many greek things. my best guess however would be that it looks like the foot of a roman emporer or soemthing. im not sure how that would fit into the whole atlantis thing bcos im not entirely sure when it was supposed to av dissapeared or anything...

Yes but you all forgot that it only had 4 toes!!! Neither the romans nor the greek had only 4 toes. At least - not that I know.

haha thats a good point angel, i was just looking at it from a trying to figure out how old it is perspective though. why it has four toes..........only smarties have the answer
