Jacob's Ladder

Hello All, a couple of interesting facts I was reading about that may support the theory that the island is the location of Jacob's Ladder to Heaven:

-The Bible makes reference to angels ascending and descending on the ladder. In my opinion, this may imply that some angels are at work on earth. Possibly Desmond is now an angel.

-God created the angel of death on the first day. The angel of death kills at God's instruction and may not destroy anyone who confesses their sins before he takes them. This could possibly explain what took Mr. Ecko.

-The Bible states that the Angel of Death takes 8 days to reach earth, whereas pestilence only takes 1. Possibly, the alarm sounds in the jungle when the angel of death has arrived. He may only come if other forms of death fail. Mr. Ecko was saved, after all, from the bear before he was taken.
