"Widmore Labs" + Charles Widmore= ?
ok... when Sun had the Pregnecy test on it it said, "Widmore Labs Home Pregnecy Test."
The father of Desmonds old girlfreind Penny's ( the woman we saw at the end on season 2) fathers last name was WIDMORE....!!!!!! ....Very wierd connection

sorry man, its not wierd at all. i assumed everyone understood this, but to clarify...
Widmore is a company. Penny's dad owns widmore. Widmore was sponsoring the race that Desmond was in. Widmore, Paik industries, and hanso are the major corporations of the show.

I think its weird, not in the sence that Widmore is a company, but more in a sence of its a weird connection to the island...
mind you several of the connections between people on the island is weird like hurley and the numbers.....

Not sure of the exact name, but it's the company John Locke works for, if I remember correctly.

this is what i do not understand - why do you all think its weird that there is a connection?
obviously connections are one of the main themes of the show. everyone on the island is connected in some way. so why do you find it odd that widmore is also a connection? please explain why we are puzzled by an obvious theme.

i know connections are a general theme, but its just pregnancy tests connected to the island seems a bit more far fetched than usual, and then of course theres the whole bunch of connections to start with are weird

i suppose. although, columns of smoke that can drag people into mysterious holes in the ground, a little boy with "powers", and the fact that more than 60 people survived such a massive plane crash seem a little wierd as well
