It's sensical, but still doesn't explain the Black Rock, which is made of wood

You did say "boats", and there's only been a few mentioned on the show =)

And back on your theory, maybe it pulls the planes/boats in for reason, like that's it's purpose. Hatch replacements and Dharma participants, maybe?

dude have u ever seen a wooden ship there still at least 50 percent metal
so my theory is still logical.
didnt u here arct he said the ship could have been brought there by a tsunami didnt you see how damaged it was

that makes alot of sense because you know desmond he crashed on the island in his boat for the race around the world

Yeah, this is a pretty plausible theory. It must be directional tho or else it would wipe out the hatch as well; all the metal stuff gets pulled throught the air in the hatch including the computer and all the machines. If it was strong enough it would have pulled the doors off the armory. And the cameras. As well as wipe out all data.

But it has been established that the button pushing is a test, hasnt it? So it probably does nothing if you leave it. Why did Yemi convince Eko to keep up the button-pushing tho?

But then, I doubt if the hatch was there when people were still using slaves....

so what happened to the people when the black rock crashed? did they land in a storm created by the violet light and radio sounds?
