Not Entering The Numbers

I thought this would be a good thread to say what u feel will happen when the #s aren't entered.

-I would like to point out that the time Jack wouldn't let Locke type in the code till he opened the safe, it went past 0 and where the timer usually is, heiroglyphics came up. Only 2 letters were readable, there were 3 slots on 1 side and 2 on the other. It went--------

[ ][ ][ ] [ ][ ]

[not readable][not readable][rope] [bird][not readable]

i translated some...
][not readable]][not readable][couldn't translate] [A][ ]

_ _ _ A _

now i kno this doesn't sound like much but i thnk it forms a message.

also
when tht map w/ the "?" showed up, there was small white writing near it

I think it's all about the EMF. After all, the Swan station's purpose is supposedly for EM research so it might strengthen the force or something similar.

The hieroglyphs are said to translate to "cause to die", which doesn't make sense in itself, but also why would the counter suddenly change into Egyptian? Sure, it's enigmatic, but are hieroglyphs relevent to the plot?

There's an annotated image of the blast door map here, if that gets anywhere. It's interesting that all stations appear to lead to the centre, but have been cut off.

Interesting theory, but can you explain why it caused the plane to break apart? Why wouldn't it come down whole? Unless there are more magnets and they're working against each other. That could be a possibility. But that would probably have affected the lostaways unless it was a rare occurrance. I hope we find out soon!

a reason y it broke apart was cuz a magnet finds and pulls on higher density metal like the Tail section

I never thought of it that way, but it makes sense. I don't know much about magnets, but maybe the reason they survived the crash was because the magnetic poles sort of 'flipped' for a short period, temporarily repelling the plane and, hence, allowing the crash to occur at a far slower speed.
