Has anyone figured out what the hieroglyphics mean in "the hatch" when the time runs down to zero?

Supposedly, they mean "Cause to Die".

hmm, where did you hear that? i never really thought about the heiroglyphics, i just assumed they were some kind of distraction for the button pushers...
