Once again, bear with me.
Remember how Walt can make anything appear? For instance, don't you remember how he made the polar bear appear from the JSA comic? If this is true, Walt could've very well created the plane crash, "the others," the survivors, the food, what not, and most importantly, the Island itself. This is all Walt's doing. For what? I don't know... he's sick. He needs help. He was molested by Michael Jackson. Who knows? The only thing certain is that he's got trippy mutant powers. Perhaps he wanted to test his biological father's love for him.

the pregnant girl (really can't remember her name) went to see a psychic for fun (in a flashback, after she decided to have the baby), and the psychic freaked out and gave her money back and asked her to leave, then for four months called and harassed her that she couldn't give the baby up for adoption like she planned, because the baby had to have her good morals and kindness instilled into it... or something terrible will happen with it... noone else can raise her baby... and finally he convinced her to take flight 815 to give the baby to someone in the usa... but really he knew it would crash and hence she would be forced to raise the baby herself

Ah I see. Thanks for the recap.
So are you saying Walt is that girl's baby from the future?

no lol..... i was saying that the psychic was looking into her future, and saw a child that was some kind of demon thing, and assumed it was hers. he was actually seeing the fact that walt would end up in her life one way or another.... and then unwittingly caused it to happen. it's far-fetched and just a random thought, not really worth discussing

In the camp of "the others", the woman, "Clue", asked Michael many questions about Walt's mental status. She asked if Walt had ever "been someplace where he shouldn't be". She was talking about teleportation - or bilocation - whatever you want to call it.
Projecting oneself, or an image of oneself, to another location. She was talking about Walt showing up in the jungle - after he'd been taken off the raft to the other hatch. Shannon saw him in the jungle and tried to follow him. Walt had used his mental abilities to appear in the jungle. This island not only has some special "healing" properties, it also enhances mental abilities - such as ESP and teleportation. All "the other's" seem to know our Losties' names, and what the Losties are doing, and what their relationships are. Children are especially open-minded to such things - children are the perfect subjects for Dharma to develop any latent abilities. Someone even managed to teleport a polar bear to the island! Dharma knows about Walt now, they'll never let him leave on the boat with Michael. The heading they gave Michael will take them right back to the island - the island's magnetic problems won't let anyone leave. Why are Walt's special abilities important to Dharma? |
