Biblical Connections With Lost
Connections of LOST with the Bible
According to what I read, the first season of Lost was named Genesis, and the last two episodes of Lost were named Exodus. Genesis is the 1st book of the Bible, and Exodus is the 2nd. Now, please note this isn?t by itself anything special - it?s been done before on numerous TV shows, movies, and books.
The first season of Lost was exactly 40 days and 40 nights long. In the Bible, 40 days and 40 nights is used several, several times, but particularly in the story of Noah?s Ark.
Genesis 8:6 says, ?At the end of forty days Noah opened the hatch he had made in the ark??
Now, the hatch? Red flag there. However, that?s one version of the Bible. Others say ?a window?, etc.
I also believe there was an episode that Hurley has a flashback in called Numbers - The fourth book of the Bible.
Locke?s mother, in his flashback, said that Locke was immaculately conceived. This means free of sin. In the Bible, Jesus was immaculately conceived - born of the Virgin marry.
Jack?s father?s name is Christian Shephard. Christian - ?Lord is my Shephard?
Anyway, I know there are many, many more refferences...so go ahead and most them here and discuss.
