whats really going on

Ive had a theory, even though it was mentioned in the Hell post, it makes sence the more you think about it . WHen the Plane crashed the first day, everyone on it died. The characters in the show are all dead, i mean how would they survive anyways, Its never happened and the producers would have a hard time explaining it. The Characters are acually in perguratory, and have to correct there wrongs in their past life before venturing into the next. For example, every character has been faced with a hard ship and when they come over the hardship they die. Shannon changed and died and so did boon. In S2E10 Eko is faced with that cloud of smoke and doest move. If u put it in slow motion u can see images from Ekos Life, which he must overcome. It changes your outlook on the show but then again explains everything in it

I hesitate to think that the Lostaways are in purgatory because the producers have come out and said otherwise.

Here's a quote from J.J. Abrams:

"The purgatory one is a great one, I love that theory ? but it isn't what it is. I'd be frustrated if that were the answer I have to say."

I realize they could be lying, but for some reason I trust them more than that.

I realize they sort of ruled out the purgatory theory, but it could be a "purgatory-like" theory. :P

That's true. I hope not though. I have always hoped that there would be an explanation rooted more in reality. The writers seem to have hinted that this is the case. I would just rather the show be science-fiction than fantasy. I guess we'll see.

Indeed, I agree with you. We can hope, though I can't see any possibility for a realistic explanation.

If you really think about it, all these possible things, they are infinite. They is almost no boundary with whats going on right now. Only somethings can be ruled out to some way
