Locke's Secret?

Early in the first season (the second episode I believe), when Walt asks Locke about the game he is playing, Locke says something like this:

"You get to choose what side you want: light or dark."

Then he pauses and says:

"Walt, do you want to know a secret?"

What kind of secret do you think this is (or know? was it revealed in an episode I missed?), and why do you think he told it to Walt? Whatever it was, it was significant enough to be included on "Previously on Lost..."

I believe the secret is that Locke had a "miracle" happen to him - that he gained the ability to walk.

I think he told Walt simply that he could walk and was previously paralyzed. I could be wrong though, but that seems the most logical. (then again, with Lost nothing's logical)
