And for that reason I suppose Ana Lucia won't die. Though I meant that when I said it would make sense to kill someone who would make a big impact. You're right, Ana Lucia wouldn't be a big impact...

It is interesting to speculate though. I mean while we as viewers tend to see the main characters as Jack, Sawyer, Kate, and to a lesser extent Locke, Imagine what would happen if one of these characters died? Would the show's viewer loyalty suffer (in protest maybe)? or would it increase as viewers tuned in to gather more clues as to the unravelling of the Lost mystery?

I think if another character dies, especially if it is one of the first castaway's then it will be interesting to monitor the viewer numbers...how long realistically can this show be streched out in terms of series' before people turn away?

I think it could be Micheal or Locke becuase Micheal's seems to have already been told i flashbacks and it seems that we find out the majority of Locks tory soon also. I m unsure whther they would kill off Locke this eay though becuase he is becomeing more ofa main charscter

I've heard rumors of Locke being the one. I didn't leave it as the spoiler because there's multiple sources that say different people but mostly Locke and that makes it a rumor in my book.

I could see how they could easily kill Michael off (not that I want them to, I don't)--in an altercation with "the others" trying to get Walt back. I don't see how they could kill Locke unless Henry Gale is an other and he gets Locke when Locke is least expecting it. I hope they don't kill off Locke--he's one of my favorites. I do understand that a guy would be the next logical death.

heh :P each episode i seem to be hating locke more. he's got an ego bigger than jack's, which i thought would never be possible.

Okay, guys, here's the thing: So very many of you emailed in saying you felt disappointed after Maggie Grace's death episode that you felt too spoiled knowing it was a death and it was a female and it ruined the surprise, that I just can't bring myself to poison the well once more.

So, here's what we're going to do. Just this once, regarding just this piece of info (whether someone is dying before the season ends--and I'm not saying someone is!), I'm not going to spoil anything. And when the season ends, you tell me whether (a) it made you enjoy it more, (B) it made no difference or ? it made you want to wring my neck because you wanted to know.

If you feel very strongly that you do want to know ahead of time, feel free to email me with your complaints, outrage and vows to never read this crappy-ass section again. But I truly believe in this case, it will be so much better if you save yourself for what lies ahead. And if I'm wrong, I will gladly banish myself to the Henry Gale hatch hole of shame.
