Good info. Kristin still swears that a female will be killed off in October, though and Lindelof doesn't really say they won't, he just says it would be silly--you know how they're always trying to throw us off! : )

09/02 - The multiple Emmy Award-nominated "Lost" returns for a second season of action-packed mystery and adventure -- that will continue to bring out the very best and the very worst in the people who are lost. [...] In the season premiere episode, "Man of Science, Man of Faith," one of the castaways is chosen to descend into the mysterious hatch, and Shannon stumbles upon a shockingly familiar face in the jungle. The band of friends, family, enemies and strangers must continue to work together against the cruel weather and harsh terrain if they want to stay alive. But, as they have discovered during their 40-plus days on the island, danger and mystery loom behind every corner, and those they thought could be trusted may turn against them. Even heroes have secrets. Guest starring are John Terry as Shephard, Henry Ian Cusick as Desmond, Julie Bowen as Sarah, Anson Mount as Kevin, Ivana Michele Smith as N.D. survivor, Katie Doyle as EMT, Julius Ledda as EMT no. 2, Masayo Ford as nurse, David Ely as intern and Larry Wiss as anesthesiologist. 08/31 - A dialogue sample, taken completely at random, from Executive Producer and series co-creator Damon Lindelof's original script for the Lost season premiere: LOCKE: "You're lighter. I can belay you down and bring you back up just as easy. Shaft may be narrower down there, too." KATE: "You left out the part where you just wanna see if I'm gonna be eaten by something." Source: Oceanic-Air.com's mailinglist # 08/31 - What happened to young Walt (Malcolm David Kelley), kidnapped by The Others? Shannon (Maggie Grace) will spot him in the woods, but she'll have a hard time convincing her friends that she's not hallucinating. And as for what's in the hatch, we'll find out during the premiere, though Terry O'Quinn (Locke) and the other stars hinted that the revelation will only raise more questions. ''My initial reaction was 'That's not huge enough,''' O'Quinn says. ''But my second reaction was 'How could it be, with all the buildup?''' Fox is a bit more reassuring. ''It's gonna blow your mind,'' he promises. Then there's Monaghan?s explanation: ''The thing about this show is it could be a bright yellow banana walking around with strawberries, and you'd be like, 'Okay.' It could?ve been Henry Kissinger playing tennis with Marilyn Monroe, and you?d be like, 'Sure.' Anything makes sense on this show.'' Source: Entertainment Weekly 08/31 - The season opener, "Man of Science, Man of Faith," a Jack-centered story, will introduce Desmond (to be played by Henry Ian Cusick), described as an avid daredevil who gets his kicks climbing the world's biggest mountains alone. Equal parts charismatic and gregarious and austere and zealous, it is unclear how Desmond will play into this season, but expect to see more of him as the story progresses. 09/08 - Their raft destroyed, Michael, Sawyer and Jin fight for their lives and discover a new predator in the ocean. Source: WCSH TV8
# 09/08 - As the second season opens, one of the castaways enters the hatch and discovers its contents. Also, a survivor of the attack on the raft makes an appearance. As does Jack's wife, Sarah (Julie Bowen), in a flashback. Meanwhile, Shannon runs into a familiar fave in the jungle. Shephard: John Terry. Desmond: Henry Ian Cusack. Source: TV Guide Online 09/08 - ABC once again invites new and avid "Lost" viewers to take another look at one of the most talked about shows. "Destination Lost" will explore the series in a way that will bring new viewers up to date -- but which current viewers will also find illuminating - in anticipation of the series' second season premiere. From the back stories of some of the most interesting characters on television to the mysteries of the island, "Destination Lost" will provide an insightful glimpse into the lives of some of the survivors of the doomed Oceanic Airlines flight 815. Narrated in a linear fashion and culminating from the pieces of the back stories told over multiple episodes in the series, "Destination Lost" focuses on the flashbacks of a core of characters -- illustrating who they were and what they were doing before the crash, and how the island has changed their lives, for better or worse. In addition, the island itself will be explored - culled from events that have taken place - which may reveal some of its secrets that might have been missed upon first viewing. Source: ABC 09/08 - Jolene Blalock (T'Pol from Star Trek:Enterprise ) will be seen in the second episode of ABC's Lost on September 28. Source: StarTrek.com 08/31 - [This episode] will introduce a new character named Helen who may become a recurring character. Helen is another woman in her forties who is is sexy, convivial, enchanting and a bit out of her rocker, with a dark side and a mean past. This episode is focusing on Locke. Source: FilmJerk.com # 09/06 - DJ Qualls is rumored to appear as a fast food place employee according to THIS picture (and especially if you compare to THIS ONE from episode "Numbers"). Source: LightFantastic Gallery [Note: By clicking on the "previous" arrows in this gallery, you can see more pictures from the set.] # 09/06 - Jorge Garcia revealed that Hurley's next flashback is "going to be right at the moment where they sent him away" to the psych ward. Source: Inside TV Magazine # 09/06 - Locke gets a love interest. Source: The Fuselage # 09/02 - This season, Jack's mistrust of Locke will grow as he continues to question his motives and obsession in uncovering the secrets of the mysterious hatch. The fates of Sawyer, Michael and Jin will be revealed after their raft was blown out of the water by "The Others" - who at the end of last season kidnapped Michael's son, Walt. Sun will become less dependent on husband Jin and more autonomous, as she wonders whether he is still alive. Kate's back-story life as a fugitive will continue to be explored. Charlie will become even closer with Claire and her baby, Aaron, but the stash of drugs he found in a statue could seduce him back to a dark life of addiction. The cursed numbers that turned Hurley's life upside-down before the crash will continue to haunt him as he begins to uncover their meaning. Shannon will decide where Sayid fits in her life while she continues to grieve over the death of her brother, Boone, and develops a growing sense of unease about the raft passengers and their fate. In addition, we discover that there is at least one more previously unknown survivor of the crash of flight #815 - Ana Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez, "Girlfight," "The Fast and the Furious") -- the mysterious woman Jack met at the Sydney airport bar. And Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje ("Oz") joins the cast as a resident of the island whose story is one of the mysteries that will be explored as the season progresses. "Lost" stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as the mysterious island man, Naveen Andrews as Sayid, Emilie de Ravin as Claire, Matthew Fox as Jack, Jorge Garcia as Hurley, Maggie Grace as Shannon, Josh Holloway as Sawyer, Malcolm David Kelley as Walt, Daniel Dae Kim as Jin, Yunjin Kim as Sun, Evangeline Lilly as Kate, Dominic Monaghan as Charlie, Terry O'Quinn as Locke, Harold Perrineau as Michael and Michelle Rodriguez as Ana Lucia. Source: ABC # 09/02 - [During the shooting of a scene,] Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) looks out into the distance and says, ''They're back.'' (Who's back?) Jack (Matthew Fox) mentions the mysterious hatch he and Locke (Terry O'Quinn) blew open and says, ''We're not all gonna fit in there.'' (Why? What's in that thing already?) Bender, who's directing this episode, delivers instructions to extras that sound like a fortune-cookie truism: ''You guys only know what you know. And what you don't know is a surprise.'' [...] Who is going to go next? While Internet spoiler hounds say a female cast member will perish this fall, producers aren't talking. ''There will be more death,'' Lindelof says. ''But,'' Cuse adds, ''we've gotten to a place where we don't want to go on record like, 'Three actors are going to die.' It makes everyone really uncomfortable.'' Here's what the producers will say about upcoming episodes: The survivors will accept that they're not leaving the island anytime soon. That means deeper relationships ? and some serious romantic entanglements. Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) and Claire (Emilie de Ravin) will get close, as will Sayid (Naveen Andrews) and Shannon (Maggie Grace). [...] Jin will try to reunite with Sun ? and, yes, learn some English ? while his wife eschews their conservative Korean roots and embraces her newfound freedom. Michael (Harold Perrineau) ? who apparently makes it back to land even though the raft exploded ? will focus on rescuing kidnapped son Walt (Malcolm David Kelley) from The Others. [...] Though Shannon will spot Walt in the woods with his captors early in the season, she'll have a hard time convincing her fellow castaways she's not hallucinating. We'll also meet at least one survivor from the back of the plane: Ana-Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez), who was introduced at the end of last season, as well as some other island dwellers whose origins are unclear (played by Titus' Cynthia Watros and Oz's Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje). Backstories will further illuminate Jack's marriage, Sawyer's life as a con man, and Kate's criminal history. The tension simmering between Jack and Locke, meanwhile, will explode into an epic faith-versus-reason battle. [...] The producers and the cast really, truly, totally swear the audience will finally see what's in the damn thing during the premiere. ''There will be an enormous download of information about the hatch,'' Cuse says, ''but it will also suggest a whole set of new questions to ponder.'' (Oh, great.) Hurley, for one, will be forced to face the one thing he's been trying to avoid: ''The hatch is making him confront those tormenting numbers,'' says Jorge Garcia. ''But as far as what they mean? I still don't know.'' Source: Entertainment Weekly # 09/01 - The Raft Stuff Is "Gnarly": That's how Harold Perrineau describes the upcoming scenes for his group, which I hear take place beginning in the first episode. Word is, the first episode is on land, the second is on sea, and the third is back on land with a very cool reveal. It turns out all that water stuff is the last thing Harold wanted to do. Locke's Getting More Backstory: Terry O'Quinn is shooting another flashback episode. And once again, we'll be seeing Locke in a "different light." Jack Gets a New Love Interest: When asked if there might be a romance with new series regular Michelle Rodriguez, Matthew Fox tells me: "I think that there's probably plans for that. You know, they had a really cool first meeting in the airport, and I think for 40 days, Jack has thought that she passed away on the flight. So, when and how they meet and what that means to the both of them is very exciting." They're Going in the Hatch: "I've spent the past 10 days off and on shooting inside the hatch, and it's amazing," Matthew Fox says. "The first script blew my mind. Damon Lindelof's script. It's fantastic, and it obviously deals with what's in the hatch. And I was very, very pleased with what they did with it." Keep in mind that you see what's in the hatch in the first episode but won't understand it until episode three. Source: Kristin on E!Online [Note: Read Kristin's complete LOST coverage HERE.] # 09/01 - What's in the Hatch? Hint: In a way, it's something you've never seen before. But in a way, it's something you see every day and are probably seeing right now. Okay, another hint: It begins and ends with the same letter. Source: Kristin on E!Online # 09/01 - Series co-creator David Lindelof said Vincent "will play a big part" in the series' second season. Source: Pittsburg Live # 09/01 - "The second year is going to go deeper and deeper into where they are and where that's going to take them," [Matthew] Fox said of the show's characters. As for Fox's Dr. Jack Shepherd, the second season will bring on a search for spirituality. "Even though he is a very strict man of science, he's going to have to wake up to the reality of the world that he's operating in," Fox revealed. But don't assume all of the "Lost" clan will make it through to the end. "That's always going to be part of 'Lost,'" Fox insisted. "You are going to get attached to certain people, and you are going to lose them. That's the truth of this story." Source: ExtraTV |

# 09/12 - Jolene Blalock appears in Episode Two as a figure in Sawyer's past. Source: Los Angeles Times
# 09/12 - With the abduction of Walt fresh on their minds and their raft destroyed, Michael, Sawyer and Jin fight for their lives and discover a new predator in the roiling ocean. Meanwhile on land, Locke must descend into the hatch when one castaway goes missing inside. Jolene Blalock (? Enterprise?) guest stars. Source: ABC (NOOO!! I HATE Jolene Blalock!!!) # 09/13 - This thing in the Hatch can be called by two different words: One is three letters and starts and ends with two letters that are right next to each other in the alphabet. The other is seven letters long and starts and ends with the same letter. Source: Kristin on E!Online # 09/12 - More on the hatch: The word that begins and ends with the same letter is not a plural, and it is not SOULS or WINDOW. Here's another hint: One of the castaways has already seen this thing before. The others might have as well, but I know for sure that one of them, one of the MAAAAIIIIN ones, has seen it before. Jack's dad is not in the hatch, at least, not that I know of. Someone does see something in the jungle, and we might not see it again for a while. Source: Kristin on E!Online # 09/12 - Another tip on the hatch: Some of you were there this morning. Source: Kristin on E!Online 09/15 - Their raft destroyed, Michael, Sawyer and Jin encounter another predator in the ocean. And on land, the hatch doesn't seem to be any safer. Nikki: Jolene Blalock. # 09/20 - Writer/Supervising producer Javier Grillo-Marxuach reveals: We are currently developing a back story for Shannon - kind of an "origin story" about how she became the kind of person that she is, and I think it's going to surprise a lot of people. Source: The Official Lost Magazine, Issue 1, Nov/Dec 2005
09/19 - Jack, Locke and Kate learn more secrets about the hatch. Meanwhile, after being beaten and taken captive, Sawyer, Michael and Jin wonder if their captors are fellow survivors or the dreaded "Others." Guest starring are Henry Ian Cusick as Desmond, Kevin Tighe as Cooper, Curtis Jackson as security guard, Katey Sagal as Helen, Roxie Sarhangi as Francine, Jeanne Rogers as moderator, Marvin Candle as Dr. Marvin Candle and Michael Lanzo as waiter. Source: ABC # 09/19 - Just heard they changed the second episode from Sawyer-centric to Michael-centric. Source: Kristin on E!Online # 09/18 - Possible a Shannon flashback showing her in ballet class as a child and hanging with her best friend Nora as a teenager. Source: Television Without Pity 09/16 - Katey Sagal will guest-star on an episode of "Lost" early this season, but her role for the moment is as cryptic as the meaning of Hurley's numbers. The former "8 Simple Rules" star will be playing a character named Helen in the third episode this season, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 5. It seems more likely that she would appear in the show's flashback scenes; higher-profile guest stars were primarily used that way in "Lost's" first season. It also appears that the flashback for the episode, titled "Orientation," will concern Locke (Terry O'Quinn). Kevin Tighe ("Murder One"), who appeared last season as Locke's father, Cooper, will reprise his role. Beyond that, ABC is offering only the broadest of hints about the episode, saying Jack (Matthew Fox), Kate (Evangeline Lilly) and Locke "learn more secrets about the hatch." The show's producers have said episode three contains a fairly major revelation about what's inside the hatch. Elsewhere, Michael (Harold Perrineau), Sawyer (Josh Holloway) and Jin (Daniel Dae Kim) face a new challenge after escaping the raft. Source: Zap2it # 09/14 - The two men lucky enough to make it back onto the raft discover they are being attacked by a great white. Source: USA |
