hrmm.. wow.. that's true! in the last episode of season 3 jack not only refers to his father for the prescription which could of been his own prescription and he was just passing it off as his father.. but more disturbingly when he is talking with the black doctor in the hospital hallway.. he says "bring my father down right now and if he's drunker than I am then you can fire me". These two occurences lead to believe that he's still alive. But isn't his father supposed to be dead ??
Also.. all flashbacks throughout the seasons were always from the past.. so could this one be from the past as well ? Could kate and jack have already been on the island before? And the 3 seasons were their second trip to it ??? But that wouldn't make sense at all... yet I'm sure we are all puzzled as to how they intend to keep the next 3 seasons on the island if the end of season 3 ends in their rescue... I suspect plot holes here.. Last edited by vesper8; 05-24-2007 at 02:55 AM. |

I was thinking maybe when they returned from the island they some how went back in time, so Jack's dad was not dead yet. Also, that would explain why Kate was not in jail. Or maybe the came back to some kind of altered reality.
I thought it strange that Jack had that (fake?) beard that made him look like the others when they wore fake beards. |

I have a feeling that what we saw in the final scene was the future after the rescue. Jack can't handle being back and turns to drugs. He calls Kate and tells her they have to go back to the island. Some of the words I could not hear relating to the plane or planes. If anybody remembers what he said to Kate can you please let me know. It may have everything to do with the future season.

i hate it when they leave the season like that! lol. it was the same at the end of season 1, they just leave u wantin more!
does anyone else think that maybe, there is gonna be no more seasons? i know it has been publicised that there r 3 more, albeit shorter seasons, but they did arose some doubts when they set the date that they will end the show. maybe they will do what prison break did, n base the next seasons on what happens when they get off the island, but that would be kinda boring!! lol i dunno, maybe the who 'flashblack' scenario in the last ep. was really a premintion that jack was having of the future, n when the next season starts, he realises that he doesnt want to leave the island, so smashes the phone to keep them there. lets not forget, we didnt actually see anyone get rescued, which with the writers, means that its very much open to intepretation what will happen!! lol. i personally dont think that they r back in 'reality', but that jack has a preminition n talks the others into stayin on the island with him. the people on the boat r gonna be like 'the others' were on this season, they will be the 'bad guys' who the losties will be runnin from. they must be, cos they have killed pretty much all of 'the others' now. i just cannot wait for the next season now!! lol. i hate that they have me addicted! haha |

It was strange that Jack mentioned his dad, I'll just assume that he was in a drunken state and didn't know what he was saying or was being hypothetical - but remember the body of his father wasn't in the coffin on the island so for all we know he could still be alive!
Also whilst Penny was speaking to Charlie she backed up Ben's claim that the girl with the radio wasn't who she said she was - although it seems Jack etc did get off the island the fact Penny and Ben mentioned this must play some role in the next series - I don't think it's LOST's style to be as simple as it first looks! Any ideas as to who died in Jack's flashbacks? (The newspaper article and empty funeral) It's annoying me as it could only be one of the survivors! One theory I've considered is that the next series will be based with the survivors back home, and the flash backs will be of them on the island and being rescued. Another is that some of the survivors were left on the island and this could be why Jack wants to go back. There's also Walt and probably Michael to go back to so theres a bunch of flashbacks etc there to tease and confuse us. It wouldn't suprise me if nothing was revealed untill series 6! P.S I'm devastated that LOST has concluded for a while I dread to think what state I'll be in when the show actually finishes! |

I think it is definately a flash to the future or what would happen if they get off the island. "Gold Card", well obviously the plane company was sorry and that was a neceserry pay off as a publicity stunt.
Although it makes it seem as if they were the only two to leave or maybe he means "we" as in all of the rescued. Who was in the coffin? Now thats a real mystery and what it had to do with Kate? When Jack says, "because I love you" does that mean a brotherly love or a sexual, passionate one. Maybe the person who was in the cauffin (sp) is someone related to both Kate and Jack meaning they are brother/sister/cousins. Also when Ben says "what is it you have to go back to?", wasn't he correct? In the flash Jack wants to, needs to go back. I also watched the pharmacy scene again, Jack says "He is out of town right now", meaning Jack's father is dead. One thing I haven't realized though is that his last name is "Sheppeard" (sp.), which in the bible is concidered holy and he was remarked as moses aswell. Maybe Loche isn't the "one", maybe Jack is? |
