where was the sub?

I thought that the 'village' of the others was completely surrounded by that weird fence. so how did they get from the village to the sub without going thru it? i also thought the village was inland and not on the coast....

Juliette has the code. And I don't think that the village is too far away from the coast. Also I think they didn't show every step they went.

its an island they can never be to far from the coast lol....but seriously however i think that Angel is right they didnt show us the whole journey and every step they took

They got to have some kind of code to get thru the fence.

The sub probably arrived at the research island docks and not at the barracks which is probably inland as the map Sayid got from Mikhail's station showed. The map showed the barracks encircled by the pylons to keep Smokie from coming in.

We all should know by now that all you need is to punch in a code to get through the de/fence.
