3X15 - Left Behind

So now this was an awesome ep.! That is the way I like lost. You see both sides of the island (the beach) and the other's (with Jack & co).
That was really creepy with smokie and the sonic fence. At last we know that "they" know that it is there but they don't know what it is, so it is really left behind from Dharma (out-of-hand-experiment) or we have to seriously think about that 3rd party that is rumouring around here...

And woahhh Sawyer "the leader"? Well I think Mr. Nice-guy fits him. I loved the smile on his face while holding Claire's baby.

it could very likely be left behind from Dharma. it could infact be why it seems that the dharma experiments and stuff no longer go on n they have been left there. the smokie was a complete catastrophe or accident, it might have even been a result of the "incident" that we learned about frm the original orientation video

So, you mean, they mentionend smokie (the incident) in that video already and kept on with the experiments? Well then smokie must be there for a long time because the videos (the tapes) look like from the 70's also that computer with that button. Why did they never renew the computers? They could have had windows vista by now!!!

well the mentioned an incident in the video. i was thinking that the bloke on the video seemed to be almost frightened of another incident taking place. if smokie was the result of said incident then it would seem understandable

we can presume smokie has been there 4 a long time because the others have defences against it eg the fence. they might not of renewed the computers and such because they were serving their purpose and therefore did not need renewing. also despite the fact they are of an old design the computers could have been well advanced for their time we just dont know the full extent of the dharma iniative nad how advanced their science was

I'm beginning to think Smokie wasn't the result of an accident, i think he was created on purpose. Those sonic pylons couldn't have been created as a repair measure to an accident, it must have been planned for and created with the sole purpose of containing Smokie. Which kinda means they installed the pylons before they created smokie to keep it out of the safe area.

... or they built the fence after smokie to keep him out, but I wonder why they didn't encircle HIM in the first place, so they could walk freely around on the island and smokie would be the trapped one. But of course they could have foreseen other "visitors" coming to the island , so they wanted to keep anything out of their village.
