Whats up with Alex???

When the breach occured they said that she had gotten out. Does that mean that she is captive or that she is an other. She was holding Kate in season 2 when Zeke confronted Jack and all of them but then she was trying to help Kate and Sawyer. Then Ben asked whether she asked for him. I think that maybe because she was taken at such a young age that Ben has brainwashed her to believe that she is his daughter. Any thoughts about Alex in general????

She cleary asked for Ben, and he could have easily made her believe she was his daughter as they took her from Danielle from birth, so why would she call him "Ben"? He could just be a father-type figure to all the kids--maybe we'll find out next spring (seems forever!)

She called that one guy her father - I don't know his name! She talked to him and asked for Ben. Right?

well alex seemed like a good person, i mean in season 2 she helped claire escape from ethan, but you would presume she believes she is an other because she grew up with them and so will av been taught she i one of them, it would be highly unlikly that she knows that danielle is her real mother. so why would she be helping the losties?? unless she believes what the others are doing is wrong maybe.

Nope she didn't. She called him "Danny", his name, not to be mistaken with "daddy". Unless you are talking about a different incident?

Seems like Carl (the original guy in Kate's cage) is probably Alex's boyfriend - she asked Kate about him at the quarry. He was probably put in the cage for some form of defiance which is why he kept asking Sawyer about the Losties - Alex and he are tired of life under the Ben Regime and want to defect. Alex is obviously with him on rebelling since she helped Claire escape the Medical Hatch. They may have been brainwashed from young but it probably doesn't take very well or there may be someone who is counter-conditioning them (Juliet?)

Alex probably wanted to talk to Ben to plead for Carl's life.

Yeah, Losty, I'm pretty sure she let Jack go from the fishtank as well.

a similar story to juliet perhaps. Juliet too obviously wants a change. However, rather then leaving, she wants Ben dead. Bit more extreme maybe, but obviously she doesn't like the way Ben runs things.
