I realize what you're saying is possible, it's just not probable. (then again, nothing in Lost is). I mean, the sea would have to get really deep right away, which typically isn't how the ocean is, from my little experience. And if it broke, I doubt it'd would have broken into very small pieces. Just five or six chunks of stone, maybe... and from the way I picture it, the right side of the body (the left in the picture) would have landed on teh statue's right, and it seems as if the leg would have been partially on the beach. Obviously, I could be wrong, but that's just my impression. I hope we get some answers soon. |

yeah, i mean if a statue like that broke... you would at least have a few very massive pieces... unless chunks just broke off gradually over a very long time, but even so, all that rock would be at the foot of the statue, and would have had to be removed or we'd still be seeing it :\
i read something about how most of the first 6 episodes will be spent with the others, so we will get to see what it is they do all day :P they live near the statue it seems, so maybe it'll come up ![]() |

yeh well from what i could tell the statue appeared to be either ancient greek or roman, possibly aztec that would mean it had been there for thousands of years |
