that stupid statue foot

ok i havn't seen it mentioned yet, maybe i missed posts, but...

WHAT WAS THAT? granted, there's been some pretty weird stuff in this show, most of it can be explained away in various plausible ways... what about the statue foot. what is the point. maybe it was just a nod to planet of the apes :P it didn't float there... it was put there... why? and why does it have four toes?

I honestly have no idea what the future of Lost holds for us. It seriously seems so outrageously random. With such a gigantic fanbase, I find it hard to believe nobody has come up with a legitimate theory that hasn't been denied by the producers. Something tells me these writers are just digging a bigger hole with every episode.

yeah, or like i said in another post, it may not matter how messed up the plot becomes because they have a cheesey all-encompasing ending planned... such as the whole show was an experiment, or it was a dream, or it was just a series of experiments throwing weird things at the people just to see what happens :P in those cases, they can dig as deep as they want... except in the end it will just tick off all the fans

I agree. Nobody said all of this was going to make any sense. Fans just assumed from the beginning, and so perhaps the writers just said eff it and ran with it.

i think the 4 toed statue thing is refering to hanso and dharma about the whole new life thing because people say that in the future we wont have r pinky toe anymore that there will be no use for it so that we dont need it. and the foundations all about that kind of stuff so may b that has sumtn to do with it im not sure though.

hmm, interesting thought... don't we need our pinky toe for balance?
