maybe there is 2 lots of "others" henry and them lot and the Dharma lot, the dharma lot want to do the experiments and stuff and are comnsidered the "bad" guys because they are using humans 4 experimentation and the "good" guys are trying to stop it or at least protect other so called "good" people from it

maybe whatever the swan was protecting is what was keeping people tapped on the island... maybe now that it's been destroyed, conveniently right after michael and walt left, they will actually be able to get away... and the others will be like "oh crap" cuz walt is kinda crazy :P

whatever happened on the island, someone somewhere on the planet probably noticed. someone monitoring weather conditions, or who knows what, via satellite, might have picked it up...
