First off sorry if this is in the wrong place/ been posted before. I did a quick search and didn't see anything else about this point before.
So we all know that Rouessau's message isn't fully translated by Shannon in the pilot episode and she misses off a bit saying something like "If annyone hears this im heading to the black rock." I was thinking about this and I can't see any reason why she would say or do this in a distress call because someone not from the island wouldn't know where or even what to look for. The only conclusion is she was sending the message to someone already on the island. Has anybody else thought about this or have any ideas why she would chose to say this or even go to the black rock in the first place? |

i dont think they will explain it, i think it was thrown in to add to the mystery of what the black rock was, because there seemed to be a lot around rosseau and the black rock as if she was hiding out there at some point or something i cant really remember much to be honest. but what im trying to say is that it wasnt meant 2 b put in as a mystery more of a help to add to the mystery of the black rock it just wasnt done 2 well

If I get the chance, I'll try to look up a clip or transcript of that scene. |
