how did Ethan Rom get these scratches?

When and how and where did he get these scratches? At first I thought perhaps it was Claire who tried to escape, but she didn't try to escape from him, so that can't be the case.

Thoughts?

wasnt that from the first fight with jack?? i seem to remember we saw how he got the scratches but i honestly cant remember

what scene is that picture from? the scene where he first takes them? or when he comes back for claire? or something else?

for some reason it looks like the scene when he first takes claire and charlie... in which case jack hadn't fought with him yet. but who knows, it's probably not significant either way

it does just look like hes been running through the jungle so it could be from plants n stuff stickin out

Anyway, I haven't the slightest idea what scene it's from, let alone what made the scratches.

well it's either from when he attacks jack to make him stop following, or when he returns to take claire a second time and they capture him and charlie executes him. he was cleaner and not all wet when he first captured claire and charlie... and i seem to think it was a lot darker during those other two scenes... *confused*

I was just rewatching the first season. Saw the epsiode of this last night.

Basically this was when Ethan confronts Charlie and tells him to bring him Claire. However, I haven't the slightest idea what the actual scractes are from...

Perhaps the person in charge "punished" him?

yeah probably... but also there seems to be two distinct groups of 'others'... the ones that kidnapped jack/kate/sawyer... and the ones that kidnapped claire... so ethan is a bad other, and henry was a good other? maybe not?

It's possible, though I still think they're all one group so to speak, though the Ethan group was at a separate hatch location. They still interact and are on the same side, just like different divisions, so to speak.
