walt made it stop raining

As you all know, what is "special" and seems to have some hidden power of sorts. We know he theoretically made the polar bears appear and a few other things. Anyway, when I was watching lost season 1 episode 3 I noticed something else. Michael tells Walt he'll find Vincent when it stops raining. Three seconds later it stops. I'd never considered this before, but I suppose that could be because of Walt?

oh yeah!! i forgot about that. it wouldn't have mattered if walt knew that it would stop raining, because it was michael that said he'd find the dog when it stopped, not walt. so either walt stopped it, or someone stopped it for walt's sake. or walt is just a walking coincidence.

Well, my point was that if Walt is "special" and can "do things" (i.e. bird/polar bear) then perhaps this is one more little thing him manipulated.

I am now seriously considering that the polar bear was NOT walt's doing.

i don't think the polar bear was his doing. I think it may have been a coincidence designed to make us question walt's powers. Because later in the swan orientation film we see polar bears fighting, and we know that there is a zoology research station. I believe the polar bear came from that.

Yes... and somewhere in the videos it says that the climate changed. Okay, maybe not inthe videos, but in the 'maps' found on the wall and the doomsday door.

I hope we see more of Walt in Season three. He's tied into the plot very heavily and if we don't see more of him it'll be just another dead end.
