Crime Shows

What is it with all these crime shows that keep poping up in the past few years? CSI, NCSI, CSI Miami, Numbers, Without A Trace - I could go on and on. One or two I can understand, but most scenarios in these just keep on copying each other. To me, it just seems to get old.

Come on, really. We need them to get something more original.

I know what you mean for the most part, but crime shows are what's hot now. Most like them, and they sell.

There are a few I watch, such as Numbers. However, I can understand what you mean about them copying each other - the other day I saw a crime show with the plot of violent video games rape/killing - and I coulda sworn I saw it before, just on a different show.

I dunno. I really seem to enjoy them. It's the mystery that intrigues me, the whole 'whodunnit' scenarios. But I only watch about 2 crime shows. The rest seem to be the same thing, just different titles and different teams of investigators/detectives.

I watch CSI: Miami and Without a Trace usually. Other than that, I don't really watch any other crime shows
Well, I did used to watch NYPD Blue, but it ended last year so, I'm down to two now.

Without a Trace is decent. Moves sorta slow, but I like the mystery of it.

I used to watch Law & Order that is until Jerry Orbach, the actor that play Lenny died. I used to find the wisecracks he made at crime scenes funny.

One good show is Criminal Intent (or is it Criminal Minds?) They're both two different shows, right? I only watch (whichever one it is) on occasion, but I like it.

Prison Break is decent.
