Default space exploration

I was wondering what everyone thought of space exploration. NASA sort of put several projects behind now. We're due for the moon in like 2020 - I was hoping we'd be on Mars by then.

Do you htink space exploration is a waste of time/money?
Do you care?
Do you believe in aliens/extraterrestrials that are sentient?

I think space exploration is a good thing, but I don't like the slow pace at which we are proceeding.

It's a waste of taxpayer's money, yes.

I think that the problems we have here should be taken care of first. It sure seems like a lot of money is being spent with little to show for it. We haven't done anything really exciting since we put men on the moon. The space shuttles are a joke. You'd think they'd find a better and safer way to get into space.

Exactly. Take care of starvation and poverty, jobs, and the like. Then concentrate on space travel. But even if we're going to progress with space travel - which we will slowly - we need to work on the equipment. Instead of coming up with new "improvements" on old things, we need to come up with new methods entirely.

^ yeah, really.

On topic... we need to go to Mars, not the moon.
