once a month at most, sometimes once every two or three months... there just havn't been many movies lately that really caught my eye... way too much pulp and rehashing, next to no innovation. however there are a few this summer that i will be seeing for sure although a fair number of them are still rehashes :P

hollywood needs to get off their butts. enough shock-value horror movies, snooze-tastic college humor and mindless rehashes. i think they need to start showing award-winning independant films in theatres :P or big foreign films. something with meat. at this rate, the video games industry is going to start lapping the film industry progress-wise. if it hasn't already.

Very few during most of the year but many during the past few summers 'cause my brother works at the theater as a summer job and can get me in for free.

A couple times a year, basically when I am forced into it. Much more comfortable watching movies from the comfort of my own home.

actually i think i should rephrase mine lol... i'm the same, although there aren't a lot of really good movies lately, i also usually end up regretting going to the theatre. people have no respect whatsoever... every time i go to the theatre, i've got someone gabbing on their cell phone, chatting with their buddy, throwing popcorn around, leaving the theatre every 10 minutes, sneezing on me, telling his buddies "THIS IS THE PART WHERE HE KILLS HIM!!! WATCH!!!" .......................... good thing you reminded us! i might have been staring at my shoe! now i won't miss the surprise plot twist that he kills him.

As for me, it varies, but I usually go to the theater 1 -3 times a month... if I'm lucky.

Well, with the advent of the internet, not as often as I used to! (I used to go twice a week at least before I got broadband... )

Though, I will make special considerations for films I've been wating to see for a while. And there is a Japanese film festival in Sydney soon, so I might go to that.
