Ah, Cindy. You're alive. Praise be!
Looks like Jack didn't manage to escape. Sorta guessed. Looks like ol Cindy's been brainwashed or something. I wonder what they're there to watch. Jack unwittingly participating in a gory experiment? I see he's taken Kate & Sawyer's place in the Bear Cage of Love.

Oh, and I love Paz Vega. I got distracted by the 10 Items or Less clip at Youtube.

i'm sure you have all heard the rumours. Jack hasn't been in Hawaii filming as much for LOST lately. With his upcoming movie, We Are Marshall, some believe he will soon be on the path to big screen success. But what does that mean for LOST fans? Speculation has been spreading like wildfire. With the confirmation from the producers that there will be two more major character deaths this season, and rumours, although still mostly unconfirmed, that Juliet will be shooting someone in the second half of the season, fans have been feeling on edge. Also with news of the "Jump the Shark" moment that is fast approaching, many fans would probably "jump the shark" if one of their favorite characters were killed. Most have been putting two and two together, and are not feeling happy. Could the island's number one doctor, Jack Shepherd, be making his exit from the show?

My opinion: No. Matthew's noted absence from the set in Hawaii can easily be explained by We Are Marshall preparations. Or by the fact the producers have stated we will be focusing on the beach rather then the Other's village for the rest of the season. We have seen in the latest lost moment that Jack doesn't make it out of the Other's camp. He may simply be taking a background part for the remainder of the season. Jack is simply too popular a character to kill off. His death would esentially be the producers signing their own will.

Recently polled fans have been divided over what would happen with the death of Jack Shepherd. An alarming number, at 49% of those who voted, said that if Jack was killed, they would stop watching the show. We can only hope the JJ and Carlton listen to the pleas of the fans.

Anyway, this is terrible news. Jack is the cypher - the viewers link to the show, they can't kill him off. It would upset the balance of the whole show. It's no wonder most fans would leave if he leaves; I mean I love Sawyer, Kate, Locke & co but Jack is pivotal to the entire series as the backbone, the anchor. It's like when Duchovny left the X-Files. Or Prison Break without Wentworth Miller, 24 without Kiefer.

I'm with you on this Losty. They won't kill Jack. They can't. Leave him in the hands of the Others for awhile and draw focus away so that Matthew Fox can go do other projects. But you must have him at the end, alive, and throughout the series intermittently if you must. There is no writing around it.

An Update on the Jack business. This is from buddytv. It's not confirmed, but here's what they have to say. It's semi spoilerish,, so just to be safe....

1) Despite wide-spread rumors, Matthew Fox's character, Jack, will not be shot by Juliet when LOST returns on February 7th. In-fact, Juliet will shoot Pickett who is on the verge of killing Sawyer, leaving herself in a precarious position with the others.

2) This isn't necessarily good news Jack fans, however. Fox is already state-side and is going to hosting Saturday Night Live in December. All that time off the island can only mean one thing: he's not filming LOST. Sources close to the set insist that Fox is not part of the reunion that takes place in episode eight...

3) Sawyer, and Kate, return the beach at the end of the episode.

4) Episode nine is the final update on Jack's status. He stayed behind to repair Ben, but will he now get off the island as he was promised or not?

And The Nominations are in!!!!

On December 14 the television community FINALLY woke up and nominated our beloved show for "Best drama series" and is expected to beat out the competition (24, Heroes, Greys Anatomy, and Big Love) and take top prize. My fingers will remain crossed until further notice....

Also nominated (surprisingly to some, but not to us of course!! ) was Evangeline Lily for "Best Actress in a television series Drama". She faces stiff competition against Patricia Arquette (Medium), Ellen Pompeo (Greys Anatomy), Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer), and Edie Falco (The Sopranos). What is said above about my fingers also applies to Evangeline.

i am thrilled to see lost take in some nominations finally. On a different note, i can't say i will be too shocked or upset if evangeline doesn't take the golden globe. She has done well on lost, but in my opinion, she still has a lot of work to do to reach top actress standards. Don't get me wrong, she has done a great job in the series, and it being (i think, don't quote me on this) her first speaking role, she has done remarkably well. However, i think the rest of hte nominees have been around longer, and have more experience. But good luck to all of the them, and may the best island, er, show win!

LOST may be coming back early!!!

you heard me right! rumours are that LOST fans might expect the show to return in january, rather then february. Things are not looking good for Day Break. Ratings are down, and the lost moments have done little to keep people watching. The worry is that replacing it with another show will only be more of a turn off, and that all the show rescheduling and moving may be turning viewers away. The question remains, whether the costs it would take to speed up LOST production would be worth it. Stay tuned!
