Default UK S3: Channel 4 loses Lost to Sky

Sky has just outbid Channel 4 for the rights to show Lost season 3 and 4.
They announced this on their website here:
http://www.skyone.co.uk/programme/pg...ew.aspx?pid=93

They also stated they will be making sure there are smaller episode gaps between US and UK viewers, with the S3 opener starting sometime next month.

I think it's a smart move to tighten the gaps, I've always thought it's not that fair on people in the UK who have to constantly hide from spoilers!! I know I wouldn't like it!

Had anyone else heard about this?

Interesting. I'm not in the UK so it doesn't really affect me, but sounds like things will improve for UK fans.

I hate SKY ONE, lol, mainly for the reason that I only have the original 1 - 5 channels and so now I won't get to watch Season 3 or 4, until the DVD's come out

Its times like this I wish my parents allowed me to have SKY ONE.

You could ask a friend to record it?

I guess Sky 1 was hoping anyone who didn't have it would buy it in order to keep up with Lost...

From station zero...

It has been confirmed that Sky One will be showing the LOST Season 3 premier and second episode on Sunday November 19 at 10pm in the UK! The episodes will then be shown every Sunday at 10pm for another four weeks until the hiatus.

After the hiatus is over, the episodes will be broadcast within one week of the original ABC broadcast in the U.S.A.

Once again, thank you to Bladerunna on the forums for this information!

If anyone does know where I can watch the episodes either from an internet site, or can somehow record them onto the computer I would be very greatful.

Judging by LOST Season 1 starting in Sept 2004, and not being released on DVD until:

Part 1 - Oct 2005
Part 2 - Jan 2006
Complete Series 1 - Jan 2006

I guess that I won't get to watch the Seasons until about 1 1/4 years, that just depresses me.

So if anyone can do any of the above, I would be extremely greatfull!!! Words can't describe how much.

Investigate the file transfer protocol called Bit Torrent. It's a life saver.
