I know the US got a Hanso commercial during Two For the Road, but one just aired in Australia, too.
I was, you know, expecting it to come in a few months when we're actually caught up to the US, but it was just screened in the episode on right now, The Hunting Party. So, yeah. I'm kind of shocked. Again. I had a coherent post planned, but gave up because I know nothing about Hanso, or the site. <hr> ETA: The Australian number for The Hanso Foundation is 1800 22 77 17. The UK number for The Hanso Foundation is (011-44) 0800 66 66 40. The US number for The Hanso Foundation is 1-877-426-7674 (1-877-HANSORG). If anyone comes across the numbers from other countries please let us know |

Weird.. are you sure you got the US number correct? There seems to either be too many numbers, or not enough.

Ah. Thanks. My fault for copying and pasting and not having a clue how American phone systems work.
Anyway, you can find MP3s of the various voicemails floating around the internet (such as here), as well as transcripts. I decided long ago to stay far away from Hanso, because ultimately, it will just warp my mind. There's been quite a few developments regarding The Hanso Foundation.Org, including the password revealed in the phone systems...'breaking strain', but as I said, I'm staying away. Apparently "missing organs" is a password, also. Does anyone who's Hanso-inclined so-to-speak able to provide some information? Apparently there's a lot on the site, including information about Joop, an experiment subject UK number: 0800 66 66 40 (aka the number I originally posted. Sorry!) |

It's basically an automatic 'voice mail' sort of thing:
For general information, press 1 For Alvar Hanso, press 2 For Thomas Skinner Mittelwerk(?), press 3 For Hugh Macintyre, press 4 For Peter Thompson, press 5 And they each lead you into a different extension and then hang up on you (or most do). Someone posted a transcript here, who is genuinely awesome for do so that fast. |

USA number system....
the base number is 4 digits. ex: 7890 then the prefix is 3 digits. ex: 456 the area code is also 3 digits: 123 the country code is 1 or 2 digits: 1 From anywhere in the US you can call any US number like this: 1 (123) 456-7890 If you are in the same area code, and DO NOT live in a metropolis, then all you need is the last 7. (no long distance charge) If you ARE in a metro area (like Dallas/Fort Worth) you dial the last 10 digits. (no LD) Otherwise, you dial all 11 numbers and get charged LD. To dial OUTSIDE of the US, you press (011) to get the international switch, then the country code (mexico is 52, for example) then the area code, prefix & base number. Each country has different amounts of digits for these. If you are outside the US and want to get US, it's (011) 1 (area) PRE-BASE (i think there might be a zero before the third 1.

The Lost/Hanso saga has found a new medium: newspapers.
THIS article/ad/whatever you wish to call it was published in these newspapers today: - Chicago Tribune - LA Times - Philadelphia Daily News - Boston Globe (Sorry if I got some of the newpapers wrong...I'm on the other side of the world, remember?) =) Anyway, the 'article' is basically The Hanso Foundation's response in objection to Gary Troup's manuscript "Bad Twin". The commercial aired again, but this time listing the site sybLYMONal. I actually did this one! *yay* Click the boxes, you unlock the 'syblymonal message', which is "Heir Apparent". And the rest I stole from someone else XD (apparently the clicks on boxes are 4, 8, etc.): Go to THF.org, Click on Mittelwerk's bio, type in the password and click on the girl eta. holysh*t! That's effing creepy as anything! screencap I took of image that came up. Tell me I'm not imaging things...that says "Edwin Austin" there, as in Kate Austin?? |
