A user named Evangeline at the Television Without Pity message boards recently posted pictures of him on set of Lost. The most interesting picture was
this. Is Henry Gale telling the truth, maybe we will find out on March 1st's episode "Maternity Leave".
EDIT by Oliver: The link given doesn't seem to be working, but on the topic of him telling the truth or not. Take a look at the image below, on that you can see a painting in the hatch which could be the balloon that "Henry" gets his story from.
Also people seem to find it odd that "Henry" could just say the dimensions of a hot air balloon so quickly without being on one. "She's 140 feet high, 60 feet wide, and when she's up in the air 550,000 cubic feet of helium and 100,000 of hot air keep her up."
But could he could of known about a man named Steve Fossett, who in 2002 manned the first succesful solo round-the-world balloon flight. The balloon was called the "Solo Spirit" and is described this way:
EDIT 2: The image has been found so I updated the first post.
"The Solo Spirit balloon uses a combination of helium and hot air to fly, a design known as a Roziere balloon. The balloon envelope is 140 feet tall and 60 feet wide. It contains 550,000 cubic feet of helium plus 100,000 cubic feet of hot air.
You can view the story about the Solo Spirit
here.
So is he telling the truth? After reading all this i would so NO.
