My dad is French and he taught me how. It said so in her official bio on the official lost website at abc.com

How can you tell the difference between Matthew (Jack) and Evangeline (Kate's) accent.?

I personally can't tell.! :D :P

I remember being in the USA last year and was watching E in my hotel room and they showed the Evangeline Party Line Ad and they showed her at the Lost Premiere Party saying "I came from nowhere"
