I'm a little disappointed... believe it or not, in the turn the show took at season's end.
We find out that they get off the island, but Jack (at least) is miserable. Great. They survive and it all sucks for them. End of show for me... the rest is just the fluff that gets them to that point. Seems like quite a spoiler they let loose there. Why they would do a flash forward that shows that they do in fact get off the island (stupid spoiler #1), and that some at least are miserable over it (sad spoiler #2) is beyond me... Also, if John or Ben believed SOOOOOO much (in John's case enough to almost shot Jack over it) that they shouldn't leave the Island, why wouldn't they tell them WHY they think this? Seriously! John almost shoots Jack to stay on the Island, but he doesn't have a clue as to why? He blows up a sub but doesn't know why he did it? John is far smarter and far more articulate than that, same with Ben. Seems beyond silly to me... seems as though John or even Ben could have at least TRIED to explain to Jack why they don't think getting off the Island is a good idea, but nope... just stared at him. So dumb... so very very dumb.... I don't know... we already know they get off the island now (how they do might be good television, but not special.. knowing they get off makes this show an exercise now until that happens). We know at least Jack is miserable in the future (all of the feelings of any sort of happy ending are now completely sucked out of the show... yippy...great). And John's turned into a mute, insane Rambo. And, if this show has any basis in any form of any flavor of faith based religion, I definitely give up... and 3 more seasons? Yikes!!! ONE more, two stretches it too far, but 3 more? That's just ridiculous, greedy, and unnecessary. So please, tell me why I shouldn't just throw in the towel now... Thanks... I gotta disagree with you guys there. The flash forward is not what happens at the end of the show, I'm pretty sure of it - its just a glimpse of the future. It's a twist to the overall story. They will probably explain what happened that leads up to that flash forward by next season and the final season might be the survivors fighting Dharma to get back to the island.
Ive been thinking coz I've ranted before about why Ben & Locke just dont come out and tell the everyone about the reason they dont want anyone to leave. I guess Ben doesn't want anyone to know about the island's magical properties and if he told everyone would want to stay on the island, bring family, bring friends, open shop, build a mall, etc. Locke probably thinks Jack and co will laugh their asses off at him: 'we're on a magic island! It speaks to me!' |

I wonder what Juliette has to say to this. She was promised to leave the island (or wherever she was taken to) in 6 months from the start. I really wonder what she knows about the island, what she has discovered so far on her own, without Ben telling her or not.

I think Jules already knows the true nature of the island which is why Jack would probably be more pissed at her than at Ben - Ben doesn't want the Losties to leave the island so he's keeping the island's nature secret from them but Juliette knows about the island and I dont think she's told Jack because she WANTS to leave the island so she's keeping it secret from him so that he'll take her. Devious.
