Default IGN's Top 50 LOST Loose Ends

Good afternoon, islanders!
I've just read a pretty interesting article over at the IGN website. The good people at IGN have actually sat down and compiled 50 plotlines from Lost that they consider somewhat accurately as loose ends. While I'm sure many people have already got these threads down in their head, its always good to have it in written form. I myself have a need to write stuff down to keep track of it, especially something as intrinsically complex as Lost. You may agree with some, you may not, but I throw it to the forums for us to do what we do best - dissect & discuss.

#50 The Others & The Outside World - already has me thinking. It's true: Why doesn't Ben just go back to the mainland and get hisself some spinal surgery? This makes me think that maybe its a one-way thing. The islanders are supplied with stuff including books, equipment, video tapes, newspapers, etc. but are not allowed to leave. Sucks. No wonder Carl & Alex are rebelling...

hmm, made me think too. has anyone seen the film the village? maybe the others reason for not leaving the island is similar to why the people in the film never left the village. it wasnt because they couldnt but because they didnt want to or are scared into staying because of the evils of humanity and what not
