Peripheral Characters
Okay, way back when when I was rewatching Lost season one there'd be like 6 or 7 side characters. Now this is my bet:
I suspect that if you went through every episode and took a screenshot of ever side character, there would be more characters total than those that crashed on the plane. I so bet that's true. :P

Say we go through every episode of lost and take a picture of ever character that isn't a main character. You know, the characters in the background that rarely talk. If we did that, I think there'd be more than those actually on the island.
Why? Simply because when rewatching season 1 there were so many different side characters in each episode.
