What do you think happened/will happen to michael and Walt? Will they really escape the island? And why did the Others want him in the first place?

Ok. ok ok ok. I have a master theory here.

I do not think michael and walt will escape. It is my belief that Michael will be killed off. He has a number of other projects coming up. Here's what i think is going on.

When the others took michael's blood they, were not actually taking blood. THey were injecting him, with the sickness. Because after that epi when he returns to camp he has like these scabs forming on his face, his hands, etc. He has been seen vomiting in the jungle, and the finale put a lot of emphasis on the sickness.

So, the others get michael to do their dirty work for him by promising him his freedom and his son. Michael does what they want. Then they set him out on the boat with specific directions (325 N) that he is to follow. But where he is really going is to another one of their outposts. By this time he will be suffereing severely from the sickness and they can take walt back without a struggle, and kill michael off. Having said this, the two actors are nnot cast for season three. But they could do it as guest actors. Or they could leave their story and pick it up again in season 4.

I don't think walt gets off the island yet because his "powers" are yet to be explained. The others, i think, were running tests on him because of he is special. They can't just let a mystery as big as that go unanswered.

Makes sense to me. So Walt isn't cast for season three? Didn't know that.

i don't think walt is. At least that's what i heard. I actually don't have facts to back that up.

Hmmm... well, we'll definately be seeing him again. I just didn't think we'd have to wait a whole season at least... I mean, he's obviously very relevant to the plot, I just expected to see him much more, espeically after the lasp of his activity in Lost season 2.

I heard that both Micheal and Walt weren't cast as regulars for series three.
