just some random tidbits i've found here and there that i thought were interesting or cool, or that i just didn't pick up on the first time around. if you have anything similar, post it! most of these particular bits are swiped right from wikipedia btw
this is where they got the symbol from, for the hatches... a "bagua": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bagua_%28concept%29 "Dharma" means the "way of higher truths" in sects of Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism. when eko faces the black cloud, you can see glimpses of images in the cloud of eko's past... so it must be able to see into their minds or their past, and is judging them, or something... most of you probably already knew that, i didn't ![]() the hanso foundation site condemns a book by "gary troup" called "bad twin" ... gary troup is the guy that got sucked into the engine in the pilot episode. not only that, but he dedicates the book to "cindy, my highest-flying angel"... cindy was one of the tailies! she was a stewardess on the flight. what happened to her again? did she get taken, or killed? also i didn't notice it but apparently they found a transcript of bad twin in season two somewhere? you can buy the book online: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/140...291672-3959923 and he has a website: http://www.garytroup.net/also.php |

After the episode "Numbers" aired, many people used the eponymous figures as lottery entries. According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, within three days, the numbers were tried over 500 times by local players. [30] Likewise, in the same period, over 200 people in Michigan alone used the sequence for the Mega Millions lottery[31] and by October, thousands had tried them for the multi-state Powerball lottery.[32]
In the credits for the movie "Mission: Impossible III", in the very last section where the directors and producers thank various corporations that contributed to the movie, the very last organization that was thanked is The Hanso Foundation. what makes that less cool is the fact that it was directed by jj abrams, the guy that directs lost... still neat though and here is a great story about the guy that basically caused lost to happen, and how he got fired because of it. talk about your bitter irony: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...14/wlost14.xml |
