Indeed, that smile was creepy. Two possibilities as I see it.

1) His smile hinted that he did indeed NOT press the button.

2) That he did make locke believe he didn't when he did.

I can see it both ways. I can see Henry pushing the button and messing whith Locke to make him think otherwise, yet likewise, I can see him not pushing it.

If "Henry" did indeed press the timer button, he did a good job of hiding it and of convincing Locke (and the lost group) otherwise. There has to be a reason for that. Just an idea and something to think about.
