What did we learn from this episode? Here are some of the things that I thought were significant:

When the timer hit zero we saw some hieroglyphics but there was still time to enter the numbers. Screenshots of the numbers are posted here.

Hurley was in fact stashing food as was rumored.

Kate's father had past interaction with Sayid. Another intermingling of backstories.

Henry Gale was the name of Dorothy's uncle in The Wizard of Oz. I don't know if this means anything. The Cowardly Lion's name was Zeke, but I think this is a stretch. Don't even get me started on the balloon connection.

Sawyer will not be joining PETA anytime soon.

Sayid still has some unresolved Shannon issues.

We don't know if Sayid's interaction with Kate's father is significant yet, but I think it's at least noteworthy.
