I'm just totally lost on the guy, period. What exactly caused the giant change in personality across the seasons?

There was that shortlived Claire relationship (wtf happened there?), and Sawyer's snide comment about all guys having needs.

Is it weird to hope for a Locke/Danielle relationship?

I would love to see Locke and Rousseau holding their own. They would be respected and feared. I think's that's what henry wanted Locke for, to nail down Rousseau.

They made a mistake when they got Locke's character away from the "mountain man" think. It's weird how desmond has a nickname for Locke-it's like they had days and weeks to get to know each other instead of hours before des ran off.

Locke was thought a freak before he pulled the knves out and started feeding everybody.

But I think a BIG reason Henry wanted Locke was because

1) Walt knew Locke's secrets and might have told The Others stuff about him...
2) Walt and Locke had a connection-Henry woud want to exploit that to make Walt perform

3) Locke would be happy to finally have a code of behavior that made him ok to exist without getting screwed. That still might happen, Locke's got himself in trouble now.

I would love it if locke woke up in Roussea's new camp, to recover from the magnetisation poisoning or whatever.

Locke from season 1 was the best. Season two, well that's a whole new story right? I mean, he changes his personality just like that. And as Mystwoman said "Now he walk, now he doesn't", I mean what the hell right? His character is totally weird, and him crying in the jungle, well we certanly all know that that's not something Locke from Season 1 would do right?

He is weird, but he is still my #1 on the show. I also think "if he is alive" that in Season 3 everything will be explained. (hopes up)

mm. I can be patient with Locke, because I have faith that the writers will reveal his secrets given time.

Yes indeed. But I think we are all waiting for one answer from Locke, and I'm pretty sure you all know what that is! :)
