Did anyone else notice the obvious motif of religion in this episode (especially christianity)? Examples:

- the title. "deus ex machina" means "god from the machine"
- originally Locke's mother says he was "immaculately conceived" and his father says "I guess that means I'm God"
- Theresa (boone's nanny) - mother theresa
- the "priest"/cross beads
- the mary statues the heroin in the plane was found in

plus, i just thought of this...lyrics from amazing grace: "i once was LOST, but now am found. was BLIND BUT NOW I SEE." (sawyer and his glasses!!! the title of the show!!!)

wow i did a lot of thinking this episode...and a lot of note taking lol!! :P

sooooo....what do you all think? what does it mean? does it symbolize anything?
