Oh. My. God.
That was amazing. I can be a very impatient reader sometimes (I like to skip ahead and then go back to where I was as if to satisfy myself that there's a payoff in the end) but I read every word carefully. That's a big compliment to your writing style as well as the story itself.

Now if only I could get myself to start writing the idea that's been dancing around in my head. ;)
