Did Viewers Lose Lost?
"How did our beloved show fare? Well, were the ratings good? Were they? Were they? TELL ME NOW, before I freak out."
NO. Lost ratings were not good. *ahem...*
The Lost ratings were [i]spectacular[i]. For this episode, Lost got it's highest rating EVER. It, once again, more than doubled the nearest competition, CBS' 60 minutes. Lost had 18.73 million viewers; this surpasses even the series premiere figures.
Wow, can someone say wow. JJ deserves this; a man who works as hard as that man, and is as talented, finally some recognition. What do you guys think about a Wednesday showcase of JJ's shows? A mystery filled episode of Lost, followed by our kick-ass spy-gal, Sydney Bristow on Alias! In my opinion, that would most likely be the best one-two punch ABC has, two critically acclaimed shows, and Alias would definately gain viewers from Lost as a lead-in.
Time for the nitty-gritty:
Lost was more than 1.3 times higher than it's nearest competitior in the most important ratings demographic, Adults 18-49 (VS. Fox's- That '70s Show. Lost is a major hit people, and it definately deserves to be! The only new show doing better than Lost is Desperate Housewives. Most of you probably know that CSI: NY (actually, the whole CSI series) is one of America's most watched television shows. Well, for the second week in a row, Lost managed to pass it in the ratings. That's our Lost! Let's pray to the ratings gods... perhaps they'll spread the JJ love and shower Alias with ratings as well.
