Yeah, they frequently misquote the bible--just goes in line with Eko not really being a priest (but nobody knowing any better--guess the beating the crap out of people with his stick didn't give it away).

maybe, but Locke might be beyond thinking of coincidences at this point. what if the verse and misquote go hand in hand. Does that mean that understanding of the light lies to the north?

Maybe the writing on the stick is soeaking directly to John Locke to look in the sky at 3:05 position, which if facing west, would be North

i think eko thought it was an actual quote that eko THOUGHT was from the bible
