I have seen every episode of LOSTand after watching this 5th episode I had to get onto a messageboard and ask this question to all the fans of this show because it could be the most important question ever for this series so here it goes: what the heck happened with Sun and Jin and why did Sahid just show back up on the other side of the island with no explanation of his or Sun and Jin's whereabouts?
did the writers completely mess up and this is why we are having a 3 month hiatus? here is what I saw, correct if I'm wrong please(brief synopsis): 1. Sun shoots the white girl(others) and gets thrown off the boat. 2. Sahid and Jin watch in horror, then Jin jumps into the water and saves Sun. 3. the next thing we know Sahid is back on the other side of the island talking with Locke and Desmond about forming a rescue party to save Jack,Sawyer and Kate completely oblivious to what happened in the previous episode. nobody asks him what happened to Sun and Jin or anything. did i miss something? ![]() |

I would have to agree if that is the case (which I would imagine it would be) that was a botch on the writers behalf... but another question is how did they manage to make it all the way to the other side of the island in one day? that is a really far walk. escpecially when they did not know where they were going.

I think its implied that they took some time, maybe a couple days to get back. I dont think the writers are gonna write every minute of time that passes on the island. It would be unecessary to show everything.
Day67 20:15 - Charlie ate a bug. Claire is still cuddling Aaron. I think Desmond picked his nose. Day67 20:16 - Locke walks across the camp. Maybe something is up. Oh, no. He's just going behind a tree to take a piss. Nikki looks hot. Paulo does not. Desmond definitely picking his nose. Day67 20:17 - That's a long piss. Locke must really be afraid of dehydration. ;-) |

what are you talking about? do you even watch the show?? every episode is a day in Lost, there is no skipping ahead. how can you say that its not important that the Sahid just magically appears back on the other side of the island without Sun and Jin after spending like 4-5 (episodes)days at sea with them and no explanation on what happened? Sahid returns without Sun, Jin and the boat and its "implied" that everyone knows whats going on? this is what it boils down to...the show has turned into complete garbage and the writers are just making it up as they go hoping that viewers dont notice there screwups. I'm done, what was once an awesome show has turned into a modern day Gilligans Island. |

actually the writers are not making it up as they go along. If you feel that the show is garbage, then don't watch it. It's simple as that. Perhaps you are just missing the passing of time, so well outlined by Cassiel. If 4-5 days have passed, Sayid, Jin, and Sun have had plenty of time to get back to their camp, even on land.
and btw, every episode is not just a day in lost. I distinctly remember Deus Ex Machina having day, then night, then day. And, we haven't had 70 episodes, so obviously not every day is present in the show. So i am afraid i must throw the quesion back at you. Do You even watch the show? (please don't take this to heart, just a little friendly banter)
