Cipher - Dude. Take it easy, man. It's the same for every show. They dont show the minutae of passing time, like the healing process of someone injured or people travelling. I think the show writers feel certain assumptions can be taken by the viewers to help the pacing and editing of the show.

Besides do we really need another musical montage, slow-mo reunion of the Losties shot with much patting of backs and shaking of hands? They lost the boat. Some people are probably gonna go, Nice work Sayid.
