What did you think of this Ep.?...The Others are starting to piss me off

The Others are really getting annoying now...do they see into the future like Desmond now can?...what IS the principle of time on the island?...Jack!...dont take out that assholes tumor...I hate Henry Gale...then he quotes "of mice and men" to Sawyer about a mans loneliness??...Screw that guy. I have no sympathy for the Others...at first I thought they were good...evolved beings showing the survivors their sins and how to mitigate them...now I just think theyre egomaniacs. They are Dharma project rejects playing God.

i hated all the violence in this episode. I don't like tha way the directors are taking the others... to much mindless violence that seemingly serves useless purposes. I will never like lost as much as season 1.

exactly!! thank you, i don't understand why everyone else thinks this a perfectly logical thing to do.

I don't think all the violence is useless. The Others are training Sawyer, Jack and Kate the way you would train an animal (cages!): punishment and reward.

Sawyer got shocked by the food machine, then rewarded when he did things right. Ben knew Sawyer would try to shock him with the food vendor, so he had it turned off. Then, to discipline him, they beat him and stabbed him in the chest with that needle. What's the reward? They leave Kate alone when he's good -- the only thing they really can use to reward Sawyer. Did it work? Yes! Kate had a chance to escape, but Sawyer was too scared to go with her. Kate wouldn't leave without Sawyer, so she is behaving too.

The Others are using conditioning to make the captives docile and easy to manage.

Did anyone else see the speakers in the background when Ben took Sawyer to the top of the island? Any idea what that was all about? And what is up with him having a daughter?

I'm beginning to think they are all on one island but there may be two sets of "others". Where are all the children? Maybe the "others" who have taken the children have actually defected from the "others" we are seeing now in order to keep them safe. Ben & Juliette claim that they have been on this island most of their life, are they the children of "others". Any thoughts?
