/\ isn't it atleast conceivable that it doesnt work? There is plenty of proof that this parapsychological things going on. Desmond and his Clarvoiance (sp?) Locke and his island chats, and don't forget Hurley's imaginary friend coming to visit. I don't think its a stretch that the intercom has become a portal by which Jack is getting audio that only he can hear.
