So what were your thoughts on this station?

I thought it a little unrealistic how Jack closed the hatch. Even with two people it seems like it'd be a little difficult. With all that pressure, I think I'd be pretty accurate in saying that it'd be near impossible to close an underwater hatch if it was more than like 10 feet below water. That much pressure would push it open and hold it open, even with two people.

i laughed when i saw it, because it was an exact replica of my rpg. we created an underwater hatch named the hydra in august, and we had a flooding scene. it was hilarious to see it happen on the show.

i think the station will be cool. it has a lot of potential. hopefully it will be revealed what the others are using it for and if they have a connection to dharma. I also found his being able to shut the door unrealistic.

You're right, if they were anywhere near a good amount of depth under the ocean they were as good as screwed.

Although this show defies the laws of Physics at every possible chance anyway.

mm..i'm with you guys. i thought it was funny as watching jack outplay the mpossible. i'm guessing the button of doom closes the outside hatch, too? that's got to have itself some hellishly strong mechanisms

I think the idea that they're really not underwater is a possibility.
