as for the person who asked about kate's wrists.... its because they made her put her hand cuffs on so tightly. the whole thing with kate having breakfast with fenry was really weird and disconnected to the story. If i were the producers, i actually would have started with the hatch and ecko, desmond, etc. I would have given a little closer on that before moving on to the others.

The thing I found most intriguing about the entire episode was Juliet's blow-up in the book club meeting. When Adam gets upset and starts spouting off how Ben wouldn't read this in the bathroom, this book isn't worthy of Ben, etc., Juliet says that she's just exercising the free will they thought they all had. Are the Others some sort of cult of science based around this charismatic leader, Ben? Experiments are their religion? Juliet is starting to become disillusioned at the time of the crash? It's obvious to me that this round of the book club was scheduled without Ben's knowing about it, behind his back. Fahrenheit 451 style? Reading banned books? Dissention in the ranks?
Also, who was the guy fixing Juliet's plumbing at the beginning? Another Other imbedded among the Losties that we're not supposed to know about yet? |

i also think that the scene of underwater hatch/ flooding was poorly done and badly placed . that didn't belong in the episode. it belonged in another episode that would investigate the others connection to dharma and what they were using the hatches for. putting it in this episode lessened its significance.
the one part of the episode i really liked was the opening. the rest, i would have done completely different.

The guy fixing Juliet's plumbing was Ethan, then when the plane crashed, Ben (aka Henry) sent Ethan and Goodwin to infiltrate both sets of losties. I believe Juliet was getting Jack's trust and I bet they probably have fax machines or some method of communicating with the outside world. If she's a doctor, she could very well get Jack and whoever's info simply saying that they transferred to her "office" or "practice". Remember how Jack went on about being a repo guy and then whe he asked her if she was a doc with her medical expertise that she replied to the same? Another thing--she could easily knock him out if he was majorly dehydrated--no food or water since he was drugged. I loved the underwater hatch. And personally, I think Jack is an emotional wreck. Great stuff!! I can't wait for next week!!

The symptoms that Juliet mentioned sounds like scopolamine or Thiopental sodium aka:truth serum.
Why do they have this stuff easy: The military officer that told Sayid to become a toturer must have left his kit behind so he can start entering numbers in Ha Ha. The Zoo reminded me of Jurassic Park maybe that what is making the trees snap and is eating pilots. I think this is cool setup hopefully they start getting into the others characters like with they did to the front and rear of flight 815. This episode answered alot for me I feel. |

My first thought was that he was a "plant" by the others to "test" sawyer, which may be the case. Then again, might not. |
