(Jack's father) Christian asks Ana if she would like to go to Sydney with him; he needs her as a bodyguard. ----- Ana tends to the wound on her forehead while Locke goes back into the armory. Locke questions Henry about his hurting Ana, but not him. He wonders about Henry's motives for rescuing him from under the blast door. Henry says his people will kill him when they find him because he failed his mission, which was to bring Locke to them. At this moment, Kate and Jack come into the hatch with Michael. On another part of the island, Ana asks Sawyer for a gun. Sawyer doesn't give her one. ----- FLASHBACK: Ana is in a hotel room in Sydney. Christian tells her its time to go. They get into a car and, after driving for a while, pull up to a house. Ana waits in the car as Christian knocks on the door. A woman opens the door and Christian demands to see his daughter. He tries to make his way in, but Ana pulls him back. The woman tells him to never come back. ----- Hurley asks Sayid if he can borrow his radio to try to find some music for Libby. Sayid tells him about a nice beach he can take Libby to, three kilometers away. Meanwhile, Jack examines an unconscious Michael. Locke and Jack argue about the others and how Michael got to them. He tells Ana that his son tried to help him, but he cut him off by trying to hate him. He sees a bar and asks Ana to go have a drink with him. Sawyer jokes around with her and she tells him that if he tells anybody of what just occurred, she'll kill him. We then see Hurley putting food into his pack and Libby entering. Hurley tells her that he was planning a surprise picnic for the two of them. In the hatch, Michael slowly wakes up. He tells them that there are only a few of the Others and they are in bad condition. Michael tells them they had a hatch where he believed they kept the kids, including Walt. He tells them that he thinks the islanders can overtake the Others. Kate, Jack, and Locke go to get guns from Sawyer. Ana stays behind. In the jungle, we see Hurley and Libby walking with each other. Hurley gets lost. When they finally find a beach, they see it is their own. Hurley is discouraged and Libby tries to cheer him up. Hurley forgot both blankets and drinks. Libby goes to the hatch to retrieve blankets for their picnic. Jack, Kate, and Locke arrive at Sawyer's tent. They ask for the guns, which Sawyer doesn't give. Sawyer reaches for his gun to see it is not there. He realizes Ana took his gun and states the fact in front of them. In the hatch, we see Ana open the armory door and enter. She gives Henry a knife and tells him to cut himself loose, which he does. She points the gun at his head. ----- FLASHBACK: We see Jack arguing with somebody about his father's body. Ana calls someone on the phone. It is her mother. She tells her mother she's coming home and her mother says she'll be waiting at the airport. ----- Ana can't do it and goes out of the armory. She tells Michael about her attempt. Michael tells Ana to give him the gun, which she does. He tells her that he can kill Henry because they took his son. After looking at the gun for a while, Michael tells Ana that he's sorry. She asks why. He shoots her. Libby comes in with blankets, shocked and confused. He shoots her as well. He then enters the armory and shoots himself. ------- COMMENTS/QUESTiONS: I think this was a great episode, and the ending completely threw me off! -So Jack has a sister....Interesting. -Obviously, the Others told Michael something to make him do this. Or the dude's just crazy. -Why do they always kill the people I hate when I'm beginning to like them?(Ana) -Poor Hurley! Him and Libby were just getting together, and now he'll think of himself as a curse even more! -I want to know more about Henry, his leader, and his 'mission'. Why Locke? Is that why the island healed his legs? Something special about him, he's chosen, etcetc. -Ana and Sawyer getting together was unpredictable for me, but I ended up liking it. It was funny when Sawyer asked Ana is she wanted his phone number. They had a real thing going. Can't wait to see what happens; as always LOST has you hanging by a thread!
